Psychotherapy:

The word "psycho" comes from the Greek psyche, meaning "mind" or "soul," and "therapy" originates from the Greek therapon, meaning "to attend" or "attendant." When we talk about psychotherapy, we are really talking about the profound act of attending to the soul.

In our time together, therapy is all about you—your journey, your struggles, and your growth. My role is to walk alongside you as we explore the landscapes of your life, including the challenges, experiences, thoughts, behaviours, and body sensations that may be contributing to your current difficulties.

This is a collaborative process, one where we tenderly and thoughtfully explore your inner world. My aim is to create a safe, nurturing space where you can explore your deepest feelings, understand your experiences, and find the paths that lead to healing and transformation.

You are not alone in this journey. Together, we will work to uncover the strength and resilience within you, allowing your soul to find the peace and clarity it seeks.

Land Acknowledgement:

Toronto:
I wish to acknowledge that the land on which I work has been the traditional territory of the Huron-Wendat, the Seneca, and the Mississaugas of the Credit for thousands of years. This land is covered by the Dish with One Spoon Wampum Belt Covenant, a treaty between the Anishinaabe, Mississaugas, and Haudenosaunee that binds them to share and care for the land together.

Oshawa:
I would also like to acknowledge the land and people of the Mississaugas of Scugog Island First Nation. These lands are covered under the Williams Treaties and are the traditional territory of the Mississaugas, a branch of the great Anishinaabeg Nation, which includes the Algonquin, Ojibway, Odawa, and Pottawatomi peoples.

This meeting place is still home to many Indigenous people from across Turtle Island. As a settler Canadian, I am grateful for the opportunity to work and live on this land.
